Khmeli Suneli, often called marigold seasoning, is a uniquely fragrant, all-purpose blend. The influence of the historical spice trade out of Asia created this fusion of east meets west spice blend.
Depending on the regions and availability of local herbs, the recipe varied, but it almost always consists of marigold, blue fenugreek, coriander, and summer savory. We add dill, cumin, marjoram, curry powder, caraway seed, and a small amount of salt in our recipe. This creates a mixture of warm, nutty, herbaceous, and bitter flavors.
Traditionally used for grilling, stews, and other meat dishes, khmeli suneli’s unique profile provides a depth of flavor to any dish.
We practice sustainable sourcing for all of our local herbs, whether wild or cultivated. With the rest coming from our partners in India and processed and packaged in a village near Tbilisi.
